Employee Engagement Surveys haven’t had the impact that we long hoped for. While we gathered an incredible amount of information on the employee experience, we were unable to translate that into strategic programs that moved the business forward. Also - who really wants to take another pulse survey?
Instead, we’re hoping to build on the opportunity to gather feedback and incorporate important questions around key areas such as Business Performance, Leadership Impact and Work Life balance. Parts of the Organizational Conversation will feel familiar - we will still gather themes, share results, prioritize confidentiality, and curate programs for the business. Other parts, such as giving the business a mini Performance Review, might feel new.
Most importantly, we recognize that honest feedback - especially when tough - requires a high level of psychological safety. Your experience at COMPANY is true and valid; our hope is that you tell us about it honestly so we can build a culture that makes you proud. Should you have any questions about how results, identifying information, or anything else is capture and reported on, please reach out to a member of the People Ops team!

Our new iteration of Employee Feedback will be (Insert a quippy name!). This will give our team the opportunity to give feedback in 3 key areas of COMPANY:
The Business - Mission & Vision, Strategy & Prioritization, DE&I, Corporate Impact Our Team - Management & Leadership, Culture and Vales, Team Collaboration Your Experience - Growth & Development, Creativity & Play, Work Life Balance.
Each theme has its own evaluation rubric in areas that we care deeply about, as well as a small set of focused Likert scale questions with optional commentary boxes. The hope is this approach balances the incredible value of open response and allows for a quantitative approach to crucial questions as we grow and change.
Every 6 months, in Q1 and Q3, People Operations will launch (Quippy Name) via (your tools of choice). This will help capture feedback in a confidential way and support our data analysis by offering organizational and demographic cuts. Using this tool allows us to quickly review and share the data with the company so we can being taking action and making improvements.
